Tri-Cities Makes Gallup’s List of Happiest and Healthiest Metro Areas

Gallup ranked all 189 U.S. metro areas by conducting 178,000 interviews nationwide. It asked people to consider a set of six sub-indexes, which individually examine life evaluation, emotional health, work environment, physical health, healthy behaviors, and access to basic necessities.

Provo-Orem grabbed the top spot, followed by Boulder, Ft. Collins-Loveland, Honolulu, San Jose-Sunnyvale-Santa Clara, and Ann Arbor in the top six. At the bottom with the least happy and healthiest people were Huntington-Ashland, Charleston, Redding, and Spartanburg, SC.

Kennewick-Pasco-Richland came in at number 28 out of the 189 metro areas in the country.
